Morning Road Safety - Thank You!
I extend my sincere gratitude to the numerous parents who have taken the time to reach out to me or directly contact Judy Hannan regarding the traffic concerns at the front of our College. Your proactive engagement on this matter has not gone unnoticed, and I am genuinely appreciative of the constructive contributions made by our dedicated parents.
I would also like to express my thanks to Judy Hannan for her support and proactive measures to address this issue on our behalf. Her commitment to improving safety for our staff, students, parents, and the local community is commendable, and we are fortunate to have her advocacy.
The collaborative spirit and positive sense of community that our parents have demonstrated in addressing the traffic situation resonate with the values we hold here at the College. Your collective action serves as an encouraging reminder of the supportive environment we have cultivated.
This sense of connectedness was felt during our recent Orientation and Open Day. It was heartening to witness the participation of new families, students, and prospective families eager to acquaint themselves with our College. The overwhelming response underscores that our commitment to Learning, Care, and Culture remains a compelling reason for families to join our community. We eagerly anticipate welcoming these new families and are confident that they, like all our community members, will experience the friendly connections and support that define our College.
Our staff have recently dedicated Thursday and Friday to valuable endeavours, including our annual First Aid Training, Professional Learning sessions, and collaborative planning for the upcoming year. Your continued support of the College and our staff is deeply appreciated as we strive to provide the best education and training for your children during their journey at Wollondilly Anglican College.
Thank you for being integral members of our community and for your ongoing commitment to the success and wellbeing of our students.
Mr Trevor Norman
College Headmaster

MADDD Night
MADDD Night is a celebration of everything that has been achieved in our Creative Arts and Languages classes in 2023 (Music, Art, Dance, Drama and Deutsch). This year's MADDD Night was a lively showcase of a diverse range of work and was a mix of live performance, filmed performances and works on display.
Congratulations to all of our students and to the families who came along to offer their support. Arts and Languages teach the very human skills which will never be replaced by AI!

Leader of Learning - Creative Arts & LOTE
K-2 & 3-6 Instrumental Performance Afternoon
The K-2 and 3-6 Instrumental Performance Afternoons occurred in Week 3 and Week 5 this term. There were over 40 students who performed on their instruments in front of their peers, teachers and parents. This was a great opportunity to celebrate what each student has been learning during their private instrumental tuition at the College. After the concert, the performers and their guests enjoyed an afternoon tea at the FLOWERS Cafeteria. A big congratulations to the students who performed!
If parents are interested in private instrumental tuition at the College, further details can be found on the College Website using the button below.

From the College Chaplain
The College Learner Disposition focus for Term 4 is Reflective. This is a habit that we are working on developing and cultivating in our students, their learning, their character and also in their faith.
The question, "Can I trust you?" is huge. Relationships are all about trust. Yet trust requires us to be vulnerable with one another. To do this requires courage because I think part of being human is having a fear of being rejected once someone knows who we truly are.
Remarkably, Psalm 139 gives profound insight into how deeply God knows us. We're told that God is our creator, that he made us fearfully and wonderfully. But yet amongst knowing us better than we even know ourselves (Psalm 139:4), He delights in leading and protecting His creation (Psalm 139:10). What is it that he asks from us in response?
To Trust Him. This Psalm shows that God knows us, that God is with us and incredibly that God made us. This all-powerful God, whose power is magnificent to marvel, is also deeply relational. He delights in us and desires that we turn to Him. I encourage us to have a posture towards God like that of the Psalmist (Psalm 139:23-24):
"Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way."
